The Biological Effect of SonoSteam®

Numerous trials document the reduction of pathogens on food surfaces of relevance to food safety combined with minimal impact on sensory qualities.

The decontaminating effect of SonoSteam is well described for several surface-related microorganisms such as:

  • Bacteria
  • Yeast
  • Mould

The SonoSteam technology has been tested on poultry, and the effect on other applications (i.e. cheese, pork, seeds and processing equipment) are under investigation.

Trials documenting the effect of SonoSteam have been performed in collaboration with industry, universities and research institutes.
